Leader: Ileen Sabean Meet Location: The Nature Preserve at Friday Harbour - Roadside parking along the West side of Friday Road, just off Big Bay Point Road. There is also an unpaved lot off Friday drive for overflow parking. Start Time: 8:00 a.m. End Time: 11:00 a.m. Registration: Not required Accessibility: Mostly flat manufactured trails and boardwalks with some rocks and exposed tree roots. Easy walking; not suitable for wheelchairs. Details: Explore the 200-acre nature trails adjacent to Friday Harbour Resort. The trail system includes several ponds, wetlands, a snake hibernaculum, and a butternut tree plantation. A variety of loop trails allow the outing to be adjusted in length as needed while providing excellent opportunities to observe migrating birds

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
